From the Colorado Rockies to the nation's capital, our programs have put students online, in school, and on the path to success.
The Foundation constructed a wireless internet connectivity system in Lake County, Colorado, providing public school students who were previously unserved with free high-speed internet access. Too few homes in the school district had broadband available we changed that.
In addition to building infrastructure, the Foundation funded the purchase of tablets used by students daily, ensuring that both connectivity and devices were available to every child who needed them.
We remain committed to providing this service to the Lake County community into the future regardless of changes in federal funding programs.
Having held licenses in the Educational Broadband Service (EBS) spectrum in both Colorado and Alabama, the Foundation supported both universities and K–12 public schools by constructing wireless access points and providing direct internet interconnection.
The EBS program gave the Foundation dedicated spectrum to deliver educational broadband directly to school campuses giving students and teachers the tools necessary to maximize the internet's educational potential.
The Foundation provided infrastructure funding for Reading Partners' hybrid tutoring programs within the DC Public School System. This initiative enabled reading tutors and their students to connect virtually, combining in-person and remote support for children who needed reading help most.
By funding the technological infrastructure required for hybrid tutoring, the Foundation helped produce strong, positive literacy outcomes for students across the DC school district.
High-speed internet connectivity is not a luxury it is a necessity for the education and well-being of America's youth. And it remains a scarcity in rural communities across the country.
Federal programs initiated during the pandemic to facilitate and subsidize internet access for rural households ended in early 2024, leaving students who had briefly gained access in a gap once again.
Through our Foundation, we continue to provide connectivity where it matters most and we are committed to doing so into the future.
Your support funds infrastructure, equipment, and ongoing internet access for students who have no other options.
